As a photographer, I am often witness to people’s most intimate moments. Whether it be the first kiss after the vows, or photographing a special bond between horse and rider. So it’s only fair that I tell you a little about me…

I’m Katy, a thirty (cough) something with a love of photography and seeing the beauty in the every day. With a love of laughter, I spend a lot of time laughing and nothing makes me happier than a bit of banter! I have many unhealthy obsessions including Christmas, potatoes (seriously… potatoes with every meal), Glee, cushions and fleeces. My claim to fame is being on Hollyoaks. Well, my feet were. Unfortunately this was before the joys of on-demand TV and YouTube, so I can’t actually prove to anyone that this happened. I’ve also been on the Tour de France by the way… in the crowds, but apparently no one cares about that. 

I hate peppers with a passion and I drink way too much coffee. I sing a lot…badly…and I permanently drive myself crazy with songs that i get stuck in my head for days. Somehow, I have managed to produce 2 beautiful small people, they are most favourite people in the world. We live in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, along with my husband, our pets and my 768 house plants (ok, that’s an over exaggeration). My husband and I are massive Game of Thrones fans. I started my career as a photographer through my work as a pencil artist, which is when I bought my first camera that I bought to take photos of my art.
